Background:

Kasten Spethmann established DAOTA Consulting in 2003, bringing together her entrepreneurial background and her native abilities to connect ideas with action, start-ups with investors and above all, creative people with those of like mind.

Kasten's networking extends beyond the usual outposts of business. Along with her role as consultant to a diverse client base, which ranges from telecommunications to the food industry to franchise holders, Kasten acts as a mentor for students at the University of Portland's Center for Entrepreneurship. In that role she provides advice, contacts and support while guiding students through the challenges of starting businesses.

Kasten graduated from the University of Portland in 1995 with a degree in Psychology. A minor in Business and the highly practical lessons learned while supporting herself during four years of global traveling and windsurfing-further fueled Kasten's conviction that her calling is the guiding of successful business ventures: creative, original work for clients with the highest of expectations.
