Darian is first and foremost a trial attorney. Taking a case, whatever the facts and whomever the witnesses, and presenting it in the best possible manner before a jury or judge is what he enjoys (and has done over a hundred times). He has gained considerable knowledge from experience and from his wife, a PhD in social psychology, who manages a jury consulting business.

Experience:

Darian began his legal career in the general litigation practice of the Portland law firm of Stoel Rives LLP, representing clients in contract, construction, employment law, and government affairs, among other areas. At the start of 2005, Darian transitioned to a position as a Deputy District Attorney here in Multnomah County, where he prosecuted major felonies, including murder, rape, and other Ballot Measure 11 offenses.  Darian also served as Counsel for the Oregon House and Senate Judiciary Committee in 2007.  Prior to joining Slinde Nelson Stanford, Darian was in house litigation counsel for an international Fortune 500 company, where he managed litigation in US and Europe, and devised pre-litigation solutions to global business problems. Additionally, Darian has been an Adjunct Professor in Criminal Procedure at Portland’s Lewis and Clark Law School, and in Sports Law at Salem's Willamette Law School.
